Final Blog

Hello class:
Review your unit 3 personal assessment of your psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. Reflect on these areas . How did you score yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 in unit 3? How do you score yourself now? Has the score changed? Why or why not?
For my Unit 3 Assessment I scored myself a bit higher than I should have. Reflecting on each aspect of integral health I now know that they cover more than just specifics. Physically I scored a ten but know I realize that integrating psychological and spiritual wellness practices into my workouts I can achieve much more. As for psychological I assumed a high score of eight and a lower score of six for spiritual. Today I can actually say that I believe they are both a solid eight. I think it’s because now I can realize during my day which aspect I’m exercising or stressing. Knowing how to address each part of your life really makes a difference.
Review the goals and activities you set for yourself in each area. Have you made progress toward the goals? Explain.
My big goal physically the ironman, I will start training for in two months when I deploy. As for my                 other goals, I’m working on two plans right now to get a new job. I’m studying for a test for one goal             and making a package to present to an acceptance board for the other goal. Job satisfaction is a big               downer for me.
Have you implemented the activities you chose for your well-being in each of the three areas? Explain.
Implementing all sorts of meditation and self-talk has improved all aspects of my integral health. Specifically there are no highlights so far. I just love how it affects mood right after I complete 5-15 minutes of mental focus exercises.
Summarize your personal experience throughout this course. Have you developed improved well-being? What has been rewarding? What has been difficult? How will this experience improve your ability to assist others?
Personally psychology is my weakest subject but personally I love the way this class took a different spin on internal wellness. I will now think of wellness in a bigger light. The mental exercises will be implemented into my life and as a personal trainer. Eventually as a Dietitian I will spread the wealth. I believe later in life the benefits of what I have learned will help others.
